Beautiful Back Garden Landscaping in Somerset

This beautiful Somerset back garden design and build project showcases how thoughtful garden design and quality landscaping can transform an outdoor space into somewhere that is both practical and inviting.

A Garden Designed Around the Client

Working closely with our clients, we developed a garden that would complement the property while providing a range of spaces for relaxing, entertaining and enjoying the garden throughout the year.

Careful consideration was given to the layout, proportions, materials and planting to create a cohesive design with plenty of visual interest.

Porcelain Paving and Clay Paver Pathways

The landscaping combines hard and soft elements to give the garden structure and character. Carefully selected porcelain paving from London Stone provides a clean, contemporary finish, while matching colour clay pavers create pathways that lead naturally through the garden.

The combination of materials adds subtle variation and texture while maintaining a consistent look throughout the space.

Planting to Bring the Garden to Life

Planting was an important part of the overall design, with a combination of structural plants, softer planting and seasonal interest helping to bring the garden to life.

A popular Tree Fern provides a strong architectural feature within the planting scheme, while the surrounding plants introduce colour, texture and softness. The planting was chosen to complement the hard landscaping while creating a welcoming environment that will continue to develop and mature over time.

Creating Flow and Visual Interest

The project demonstrates how a well-designed back garden doesn’t need to be complicated to make an impact.

By combining practical landscaping with carefully considered garden design, it is possible to create distinct areas and visual focal points while maintaining a natural sense of flow. The pathways, paving and planting work together to guide the eye through the garden and make the most of the available space.

From Garden Design to Completion

From the initial garden design through to the landscaping and planting, every element was considered as part of the overall scheme.

Our aim was to create an outdoor space that not only looks beautiful but also works for the way our clients want to use their garden. The finished result is a practical and welcoming garden with a strong sense of character and a design that will continue to evolve as the planting matures.
